Voice instruction at Third Street covers many styles – touching on the tradition of Broadway, Classical, Jazz, Pop, and Rock. Above all, the emphasis is placed on healthy singing and vocal technique. Instrumental students are encouraged to enroll in voice lessons to build skills in ear training, musicianship, and performance.
LESSONS
Instruction for voice is available in focused, one-on-one individual lessons or in shared partner lessons where two students of a similar level learn from the same teacher.

YOUTH CHOIRS
- Let’s All Sing (K to Grade 2)
- Preludio (Grades 3 to 7)
- Chorale (Grades 8 to 12)
Singing is fundamental for musicians and Third Street encourages students to enroll in choir class! Vocal training helps students to build skills in ear training, musicianship and performance. Students will be introduced to a variety of styles of music and learn to sing collectively both in unison and harmony parts. Above all, Third Street places an emphasis on healthy singing and vocal technique. Choirs are separated by age, with Chorale being the most advanced ensemble for students whose voices have changed. Choirs perform at annual Holiday and Spring concerts! Click here to read more detailed descriptions of Third Street’s Youth Choirs.
