Founded in 1894, Third Street is a leader in community arts education, providing music and dance instruction in New York City for 125 years, and partnering with city public schools for 60 years.
What is Third Street Partners?
Third Street Partners provides tailored group music and dance instruction to over 3,000 students in more than 25 public schools throughout New York City.
From African percussion to Flamenco dance, rock band to chamber music, Third Street’s broad array of programs give schools and organizations myriad options for building music and dance into their curricula.

Students attending one of our Third Street Partners public schools are eligible to participate in Partners@3rd, a program that provides free and low-cost group classes held after school and on weekends at Third Street’s home on East 11th Street.
In addition to providing music and dance instruction to students, Third Street also offers professional development opportunities to NYC classroom teachers.
